LEGO Ninjago Legends: Duskfall
Expanding the horizons of the franchise, the team announced LEGO Ninjago Legends: Duskfall. Following in the footsteps of the more adult-oriented Monstrosity, Duskfall is a canon story set in the distant future. It features much older versions of Kai and Nya alongside epic mech combat, carrying a distinct Gundam-style anime aesthetic.
The End of Dragons Rising and the 20th Anniversary
Perhaps the biggest and most shocking news of the panel is that LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising will officially conclude in 2027 with a 20-episode finale season titled Dragon’s Fury. Producers noted that Dragons Rising was always planned as a five-year narrative arc, culminating next year in a storyline where evil versions of the ninjas use their elemental powers to destroy Ninjago City.
However, fans of the brick needn’t worry about the future of the theme. Ninjago is an evergreen property and is locked in for at least another five years, with planning already underway for the massive 20th anniversary celebration.
